Good Open Water Swims:
Our racers performed really well at the Youngsters Open Water race at the week end.
Lewis - 2nd
Harriet - 5th
Josh - 17th
and well done to Lewis in securing his place at the Inter Regional Championships

Great Result for Lara :
Lara won a silver medal at the European Championships in Ireland, a fantastic result although she's dissapointed she didn't win gold. Now it's on to the World Champs in Budapest - so good luck and let's hope she brings back some nice bling. |

Well Done Harriet :
Harriet won the East Essex Tri Club 10th Anniversary race in her age group. That's an excellent result for her and shows how consistent she's been over the season. This years odd rules for the IRC qualification, that allow someone to qualify without actually doing a triathlon, means she may not get the place at the National Champs she deserves but if she continues to work hard she'll hopefully get there. |

Well Done At Windsor 2 Wins for Jetstream:
Without doubt the Windsor Triathlon was an even better day for Jestream than I originally reported. Best result of the day didn't only to go to Sam but also Hannah for both their first places in their age groups - in a time of 2:09 for Sam to boot. I had originally looked at the age group and not the names - only men beat Hannah. All of our other athletes performed well too. Paul was 4th in his age group, Matt was 13th, Ian 41st in a really large wave, Michelle just missed beating the 3 hour mark (3:00:48) and yours truly was 4th out the water in the first wave, then had a blow out 5k into the bike and finished 26th in the "Ancient" age group.
Well done all, nice to be racing again and to see and chat to everyone. Thanks to The Kitchens', Williamsons' and to Mark for all your support on the run. |
