Turbo Training Sessions
(Pinner & Grammarians Rugby Club - Grimsdyke Road Hatch End - Thursdays 7:30 to 8:30 pm)

Even in summer it can make perfect sense training using a bicycle turbo trainer but in winter it's almost a necessity. Our sessions are weekly at 7:30 in the Pinner and Grammarians Rugby Club, Club House Grimsdyke Park, Hatch End and last for 1 hour.
A turbo trainer is a simple frame which securely clamps around the rear bike wheel (see picture right) and stabilises it so you can cycle safely in one place. Most also have some form of resistance that can be adjusted, so a rider can simulate riding up hill, both in and out of the saddle.

So, why are turbo sessions so useful? Firstly, skills can be practiced and techniques improved without any risk of falling from the bike, while the coaches can see exactly what is happening. Secondly, sessions can be controlled and all abilities and ages can be in the same room training at their own intensity at the same time, so each athlete gets out of each session exactly what they need.

All of our members are eligible to come to these sessions, young, old, elite level and the fun triathlete and each session will last between 45 and 50 minutes. Places are limited so please let us know if you intend to come by emailing or phoning  KevinD@JetstreamTri.com (01923 836699) or Wayne wayne@JetstreamTri.com  (020 8421 8866).
